Solution:

This solution enables you to configure the connection for MU-WIRELESS on Mac OS X 10.9.x (Mavericks), 10.8.x (Mountain Lion), 10.7.x (Lion), and 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). Images below may be different depending on the OS version you are using. See details below.

Details:

IMPORTANT: These instructions are for the latest versions of Mac OS X (v10.9–v10.6). If you have an earlier version of Mac OS X, these instructions will not work. Refer to the Related Items below.

If you have Snow Leopard (10.6), Lion (10.7), or Mountain Lion (10.8), directions and screens may differ slightly.

NOTE: In Mac OS X 10.6, the terminology Airport is used instead of Wi-Fi. For purposes of this article they may be used interchangeably.

  1. Locate the Wi-Fi/Airport status menu (in your menu bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen).

Note: If your wireless card is Off, the icon will look slightly different - you will see only the outline. If no access point is selected, the icon will be gray instead of black.

    • If your wireless card is not On, click Turn Wi-Fi/AirPort On.

  2. Click MU-WIRELESS.

  3. Enter your UniqueID and your MUnet password.

  4. Click Join (Lion, Mountain Lion, and Mavericks) or OK (Snow Leopard).

  5. If the Verify Certificate screen appears, click Continue. If prompted, enter your account credentials to accept the certificate.

You should now be connected to MU-WIRELESS.
